Above Ground and fellow members of the Canadian Network on Corporate Accountability (CNCA) recently joined with the Polaris Institute in welcoming the decision of the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR) Unit of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights to appoint a Special Rapporteur on ESCR rights. In our joint submission, we strongly encouraged the unit to include business and human rights in the Special Rapporteur’s mandate.
